C & J Update 6/11

Dear Friends and Family,

4 Days to go! Oh my, this is getting real! We are excited to see what the next 4 days bring and how God is going to lead us on our life journey.

PRAISES:
It’s time! Time to take those final steps to getting to China.
Everything is lined up and taken care of. (well, almost everything!)
For our friends and family, you mean so much to us and you bless us with your prayers and encouragement!
Trusting God’s timing to be the right timing! (prayer and praise!)

PRAYER REQUESTS:
Trusting God to provide our support needs.
Learning Mandarin, PHF decided we need to learn the language and will provide a teacher.
Love planted strongly in our hearts for the kids, love and trust in their hearts for us.
Open hearts to serve and glorify Him at Shepherd’s Field in all we are asked to do.
Unity of heart and mind for us.
Bambock’s house to sell. (our renters)
Continuing to place all our trust in Him!
Pray for our adjustment to life at Shepherd’s Field and to the Chinese culture. Jet lag, humidity, food etc!
Pray for Shepherd’s Field Children’s Village; for the staff, the children and the provision of funds to complete the foundation work on the vocational center. Pray HE will meet all their needs.

In case you are wondering, we will still use our address here. Mail will be forwarded to Clay’s Mom. We’ll let you know our new cell numbers once we have them; and we are on Skype! That’s a free download and you will find us under “Jewel.Floch”. (don’t forget we are 16 hours ahead of you) We will continue to use our personal email and also the email on the back of our prayer cards. Feel free to email us but please take us off forwarded emails.

It is also time to carefully consider what our emails contain. We need to be cautious of using spiritual terms such as God, Jesus, prayer, praying, ministering, mission or missionary and Bible. For scriptures use comma’s instead of colons and abbreviate the book of the Bible. Please use “father” when referring to our Lord and “pry” for praying or prayer or something like that. We know it is difficult to change the way you write but it is time for caution. We are going to a country that is not open to the gospel and we need to be cautiously respectful of their laws.

You are invited to a potluck June 13th at Valley 4th (2303 S Bowdish) at 6pm. Let us know if you will be able to join us. There will also be a send off on June 14th during the 9:30am service. We would love to see you one last time before we go.

“Let all that I am wait quietly before the Father, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honor come from the Father alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. O my people, trust in Him at all times. Pour out your heart to Him for the Father is our refuge.” Ps 62,5 to 8. He is our rock and salvation, our victory comes from Him, trust Him at all times! Thank Him, He is worthy of our trust!
