C & J Update

5/11/09

35 Days to go! We are excited to see what the next 35 days bring and how God is going to continue to prepare us for this part of our life journey. (Ok, we confess, there is “some” anxiety!)

PRAISES:
Visa’s have been applied for!
Support is coming!
We praising God for our friends and family, we appreciate and love you!
God’s timing is the right timing!
Great turn out for the mission auction.
For the extra luggage we get to send with the short term team going to PHF in July. This makes it so much easier to take what we need!
The special get together Saturday with our Odessa friends.

PRAYER REQUESTS:
Visa’s to be approved quickly by the Chinese Embassy.
Trusting God to provide our support needs.
Learning Mandarin, and time to dedicate to it!
Love planted strongly in our hearts for the kids and in their hearts for us.
Gaining the trust of those in our care, and being worthy of that trust.
Open hearts to know Jesus. That seeds will be planted and will grow.
When to quit our jobs.
Knowing what to pack!
Unity of heart and mind.
Bambock’s house to sell.
Our 2 Cocker Spaniels to find a home.
Continuing to place all our trust in Him!

We want to say a huge thank you to the ladies of the Heritage Church in Odessa for making a beautiful quilt to raffle for our support. And another huge thank you to those who purchased tickets. The winning ticket was pulled on Mother’s Day, congratulations to Vici Walter for having the winning ticket! Vici called and gave us the quilt! We hope to be able to fit it in and take it to China with us to remind us of you all.

We would like to invite you to a potluck Faith, Jewel’s sister is having for us. That is June 13th at Valley Fourth (2303 S Bowdish Rd) at 6pm. Could you send a quick email or somehow let us know if you will be coming? We’ll make sure to have enough chairs! There will also be a send off on June 14th at the service. Just a short prayer time to dedicate us to this trip.

“Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” Are you growing your roots down deep into HIM? When the strong winds of trouble come you will not fall.
